Hi.
it looks like I have developed shingles. I am due to start radiotherapy a week today. Will this still go ahead and if so do I need to take any special precautions during and after the treatment? Thanks.
Hi Tattyali
I'm sorry to read that you've developed shingles, that must be very unpleasant.
I don't know if your radiotherapy will still be able to go ahead but the best people to ask would be the radiotherapy department. You should have been given a contact number to ring but, if not, just phone your hospital's main switchboard and ask to be put through.

Oh sorry to hear about the shingles. Did they put you on an antiviral as that should help.
I don’t know the answer about the radiation treatments but the radiation oncologist will know .
Take care of yourself and hope you heal up real quick.
