Sleep!

Hi there, I’m hoping you’ve managed to drift off tonight.   I have an appointment with my doctor on Tuesday re sleeping tablets, I just can’t sleep either. I had my op on Thursday and trying to sleep propped on pillows is just so uncomfortable.  I sleep for around 3-4 hours, wake up then my mind goes crazy.   I’ve been listening to some yoga nidra, basically yogic sleep, on YouTube.  That’s relaxing even if I can’t actually sleep. I hope you find some relief.  

It's so hard if you can't sleep. I have had this problem on and off for years. Taking anything to help one sleep can't be used all the time, it stops working eventually. I have a whole raft of things I fall back on, night nurse can help occasionally, I take a Kalms and paracetamol. I had them prescribe Zolpidem which gives me 4 hrs but I only take it twice a week. I also read or use Paul McKenna hypnosis cd ' I can make you sleep.'  Some people swear by Melatonin but GP don't seem to like prescribing it anymore. You can buy it online. Having things to worry about keeps me awake. I always try and deal with things if they keep popping into my mind. This journey does stir everything up. Hope that helps.
