My mum had a successful lumpectomy with clear margins and no lymph node involvement. She had finished 12 weeks of weekly chemotherapy and has her last of 5 days of radiotherapy on Monday. She has recieved a letter on Friday asking her to get abdominal scan in 2 weeks time, we are a little confused as she has no new symptoms and she meets with her oncologist every four weeks, she met with her last week and nothing was mentioned :s could any one help shed some light please. She has been on tablets for low vitamin d and calcium and is due to start a newish treatment fi4 orevention of reoccurrence in the bones ( sorry not sure the name) could his be a monitoring thing , I'm a little concerned at this.
Hi Jodie87 maybe it's an idea to call your mum's breast care nurse and ask if they are aware of why this might be, or get in touch with the oncologist to check. Best wishes
