I’m 4 months down the line from radiotherapy following wide local excision and sentinel node biopsy.
Has anyone else noticed their breast feels thicker and a bit more leathery in places? No pain or anything else but just feels thicker in places?
many thanks,
Hello Florida sunshine, Sorry you are having issues with thickness and leathery feeling. Sounds like fibrosis but until you get examined don’t know for sure. Your radiation oncologists office will be able to see you and get you treatment for it. Radiation can cause it. I think massage will help. I was advised after my radiation was finished that after 3 weeks I was to do daily breast massage and then I had my 6 month follow up and told to continue for 6 more months.
I am in Florida too. Hoping for nice cooler weather.
