Any on else suffering with aches all over the body whilst taking letrozole. I've recently had surgery and radiotherapy and I'm aching all over x
It is a well known side effect unfortunately, but usually helped by moving and I also find diet makes a difference. So less fat, and less sugar helps me. Also oily fish is supposed to be good for us and for lubricating the joints too. It also tends to settle down with time, so hang in there and it should improve xx
I'm only 3 months in and I honestly feel like stopping this drug I feel so awful the pains the diarrhoea the exhausting days I'm totally fed up xx
It's awful and I've just finished my radiotherapy think I'm emotionally exhausted x
I don’t know if you’ve already read more posts on Letrozole but a lot of people are more affected when taking one brand compared to another brand so it might be worth discussing that with Breast team ? X
Yeah I've heard that my breast nurse said hang in till 6 months but I don't know how much longer I can I'm so tired x
I was told that fatigue is normal and can last a long time. Radiotherapy can also make you tired. It hit me about 3 weeks after my treatment. I had my op in December last year and radiotherapy March this year. I still feel really tired at times and have had to adjust to it. If I'm tired i rest as much as i can and when I'm OK i make the most of it. They have recently changed my brands again so I'll have to see how i go. My doctor did say we could change my letrozole to something else if side effects don't ease. I must admit I feel like the bone pain is getting worse
Hi there. This is my first time posting in this forum even tho I had my lumpectomy in Feb this year and radiotherapy in April. I’ve been on letrozole since diagnosis in Jan. Had a few joint problems & side effects initially but seemed to subside after a few months. However last 6 - 8 weeks have had bad joint pain including wrist and painful ‘trigger finger’ which was successfully treated with steroid injection. Currently have very bad knee pain behind both knees which affects my waking . anyone else experienced this? Am very interested in the ‘Brand’ issue. Does anyone know which brand it was that was causing lore problems ? Thanks in advance.
I’ve only been on it for just over 5 months so not sure of longer term side effects but I have read of others with severe joint pain. It would be interesting to hear if side effects get worse s time goes on,. As far as brands a lot of wile Sat Accord is good which I’ve had but also had Cipla which I believe is a brand close to Accord .

Thanks for your reply. I spoke to my breast nurse today who suggested trying a change of brand so will give that a go.
also read a post that said you can poss take a short break from letrozole without any detrimental Heath effects but obvs need to speak to a doctor first.
thanks for the help here.
good luck everyone
