I had a mastectomy 15 months ago , which was a success , had chemo first then radiotherapy after. The treatment though has weaken my heart ,I was sent to a cardo clinic but the doctor there was not very helpful he said he would arrange some test but I've heard nothing this was 6months ago.I can't fault my treatment for my breast cancer in anyway but i feel in limbo now i have had no real follow up treatment only a mammogram . Did any of you get any appointment with the surgeon to discuss reducing the remaining breast or check the scar . I do feel a bit let down ,once i was signed off from the oncologist I've feel forgotten .i
Hi Farmersgirl
Sorry to hear that you had breast cancer and had to have a mastectomy. I would ring your breast care nurse and ask why you've haven't had any follow up appointments if I were you. I was diagnosed with breast cancer over two years ago and I've had a number of follow up appointments since I finished my treatment. As regards the heart trouble why not ring your GP and get them to request an emergency appointment.
Wishing you the best of luck with the future.
Best wishes
