Thanks
Jo
Hello Jo, I live in Florida so may be a little different from where you live. I had my 6 month follow up in August and since my mammogram was due in August I had that done prior to seeing my breast surgeon. He discussed my mammogram results which were negative, did a manual breast exam and we discussed my questions. Was my last visit with him as he is retiring from surgery and seeing patients. So sad as he was wonderful. He will be having me follow annually with the medical oncologist but I have an appointment in February 2023 with the surgeon who operated on the other breast. I have appointment in August 2023 with the medical oncologist. I also had my six month follow up with the physician assistant at the radiation oncologist in November and had another breast exam and discussed questions and concerns etc. Have been doing daily breast massage and am to continue for 6 more months. She wants me to have 6 month manual breast and lymph node exam for 3 years. I can have her do it or follow with medical oncologist.
I am very thankful as all is going well and no signs of fibrosis. These visits were so much easier than the ones we had while going through surgery and radiation. I had bilateral lumpectomy and radiation.
Tske care and have a great visit.
