Post op bra

Hi Notme welcome to the forum. I cant see that it should be an issue if it is only for that short time but the whole idea of the bra day and night is to offer support, reduce swelling in the affected breast and to maintain the shape of the breast. Is there a dressing or something soft that you could insert into the bra to make this more comfortable for you? xx

My BCN suggested a piece of gauze between the scar and bra.

Hi, I used big cotton wool pads/squares placed over the scar to stop any rubbing, also gauze could be used.

Short spells without the bra should be OK but best to talk it through with your BCN

I had a double mastectomy in September. My surgeon encouraged me to leave my bra off post showering for up to an hour daily. This was to allow air at the wounds. I also applied gauze under the bra as it did irritate the scar at times.
