Hi everyone, I had a mastectomy and PAP flap reconstruction in April followed by 15 sessions of radiotherapy and I'm now on Zoladex and Letrozole. Last week I found a lump in my reconstructed breast. It seemed to appear in just a day! I have an appointment in the Breast Clinic on 14th November and I'm trying hard not to worry but it's very difficult.
If it appeared so quickly I wouldnot think it was cancer. Could be a fluid filled cyst. I have had a few of these appear and they do feel scary. A simple injection to remove the fluid cleared them up. You are doing the right thing going back to breast clinic.Fingers crossed.
I’m hoping Evajean is right - I found a lump in my remaining g breast half way through chemo and it was terrifying - it came from nowhere but it was a fluid filled cyst and they emptied it right away. I do hope you have reassurance soon. The two weeks I waited to find out felt like an eternity…. Really take care of yourself and go for whatever distracts you and cheers you up…,
