I know this may sound trivial but I finished chemo 5month ago and my eyelashes haven’t grown back yet , I only have a very sparse few on each eye and only very short. I know the eyelashes protect the eye from dust ect .  Is there a chance they may come back or have they gone for good. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced problems with eyelashes growth after chemo.

  • Try Revitalash..there are some good serums and they do work! Be patient L

  • Thankyou, I will definitely give it a try x

  • I remember I couldn't wear mascara for a good 5 or 6 months following chemo as eyelashes were so short. At around the 4 month mark, I bought UKLash serum and think it probably did make a bit of a difference. They grew very long and dark, which wasn't what I had before! I have since stopped using UKLash and my eyelashes have returned to their usual light colour and normal length so I think it must have been doing something,

  • Hello,

I lost most of my lashes whilst on chemo.

My sister bought me this mascara that is designed for people going through treatment. It’s called primelash by prime cosmetics.

I can honestly say it has worked wonders. Now 4 months after chemo I have full eyelashes and they are even thicker than the ones I had before. So pleased with the results.

It takes time but you will get there x

  • Hello.  The same thing is happening to me.  May 24 was my last cycle of chemotherapy.  My hair has grown 2 cm.  but I see that my eyelashes are short and my eyebrows have not grown much either.  I hope this changes over the months.  Greetings.

  • My hair is growing too it’s a good inch or more all over which I’m grateful for but would really appreciate my lovely lashes back , my eyebrows are very sparse too.

  • Hi DreamA,

sounds like it worked well for you . Mine fell out right at the end of chemo. Guess I will have to be patient and keep my fingers crossed.

  • I think I definitely need to order some lash serum , anything is worth a try. Sound like it worked well for you .
