2nd op, is it easier than the first?

Hi. i went through exactly that. Mastectomy with temporary expander then I had a permanent implant amd uplift on other breast 7 months ago. Painless. In hospital overnight but I think that depends on what time you get operated on. Have had a bit of tightness but nothing uncomfortable. Had 1 session to start nipple tatttoing and waiting further appointments. Ibwould say go for it. The recovery is quite quick/painless and not as bad as the Mastectomy. Good luck xx

This is exactly what I have had done! Just had number 4 out of 15 radiotherapy and can't wait to be having a second op. I don't have my reconstruction appointment until April 23 as I now need chemotherapy tablets which should finish the end of April. I think I'm going to opt to have the implant out and a (Very big) lift on the other side.

I too have the expander and am getting the same implant and uplift to other breast. Can I ask if you have experienced any loss of sensation or problems with the uplifted breast?
