I am taking Letrozole and experiencing hair thinning. This is emotionally distressing for me as I wore the cold cap during chemotherapy and did not lose my hair. My Oncologist advised me to try different brands. Has anyone else experienced this? If so is there a recommended brand or if not how can I try different brands? I have tried this before but been advised by pharmacists that they can’t guarantee I will get the same brand each time I have a prescription or they only stock one brand.
Hi WA34
I am on Letrozole. I had a problem with pharmacy. I spoke with my GP and they state on prescription which Pharmaceutical company it needs to come from. I also had to change pharmacy to a bigger consortium. My hair is now returning after chemo so hard to say what effects it may be having on my hair. All you can do is trial different ones and see if it makes a difference. Good luck xx
Hello, I take anastrazole and my hair is thinning too. It is because of the decrease in estrogen. I discussed it with my medical oncologist but he kind of brushed it off. My hair has always been thick but I have noticed when I wash my hair I lose so much more. I don’t know what to do but I hope my body can get adjusted. I have been on the AI for about 10 weeks. It is a real bummer.
