1st outpatient app

Hi Poucha,  was a little different for me as I live in US.  Had to have bilateral ultrasound and MRI to both breasts.  After all that information was collected I got the date.  From what I have been seeing on this forum,  MRI done not seem to be done routinely.

Yes I was given my mastectomy date at this appointment even able to choose best day/ time etc (if there was one ).I had MRI and node biopsy before surgery too which sadly meant I had a lymph node clearance added to op.

I got my date for lumpectomy at this appointment. I didn’t have an MRI but had couple of procedures prior to my op. I had a tiny marker/transmitter inserted into the tumour a week before op and then a radioactive injection day before which helps surgeon find the sentinel lymph node. All went well so good luck tomorrow.
