Gagging side effect

Hi, I did experience a tightnesss in the throat for the first few days of Docetaxal. I felt like I might gag, but I didn’t.. it was very uncomfortable, but not as bad as you describe. I mentioned it to a chemo nurse, thinking that it was the chemo, but they told me that it is a side effect of the steroids that I had for three days, and for each infusion. A month later, another chemo nurse also told me that it is a known side effect of the steroids. Are you taking these - perhaps throughout your cycle? I think it might be worth mentioning it to your nurse too, unless you have already done so. X

I only have steroids on the day of chemo. I’m thinking it’s a anxiety thing mixed with the nausea I sometimes get. Hopefully my oncologist will know more.
