I am about to have radiotherapy having undergone bi-lateral mastectomies, full axillary clearance both sides and FEC-T chemo. What follow up should I expect as I obviously won't be having mammograms?
Hello GW1969, You have been through so much and although I don’t know for sure what type of follow up you will need I am sure you will need an exam by the breast surgeon. Don’t know if there are any blood tests or scans they will order. I hope your radiation treatments go well and that you are finished with all your treatments soon as you need a break.
Barbara
Take care.

I too had bi lateral mastectomy. I have a Dexa bone scan every couple of years but that is it. It is very unnerving because you have no way of knowing what is going on. It would be great if there was a blood test or some sort of scan that would alert to any growths.
