Hi all, I thankfully had a lumpectomy (left breast) and susequent radiotherapy finished last December (2021) and am now on Hormone Therapy Letrozole. For the last 5 weeks I seem to be suffering from IBS. I have been regular all my life until now. Has anyone else have this problem with HT tablets?

  • Hello,  I have read that the anastrazole I take can cause diarrhea so I imagine it is the same for letrozole.  I have had IBS for about 7 years and when I have a flare up it is a pain.  I have the diarrhea IBS.  I saw a gastroenterologist and other than taking anti diarrhea medication which I didn’t want to take I went searching for a better solution.  I now take Heather’s Tummy Fiber Acacia Senegal Tummy Fiber and it has changed my life.  Also take the Heather’s Tummy Fiber Peppermint Oil.  Heather is on YouTube and you can email her too.  She has had IBS for about 40 years and she is very well respected.  Good luck and this issue was a big concern for me as IBS really impacts quality of life.
glad that lumpectomy and radiation went well.  Similar to me as had bilateral lumpectomy and radiation to both breasts and now on anastrazole.
    Hope you feel better.
