Zoledronic acid infusions

Hi, I'm having 6 monthly for 3 years and have had my first 2 so far 

I am having them 6 monthly for 3 years. Had the first one alongside my first chemo. The second one will be a couple of months after I finish chemo. 

I'm having them every 6 months for 3 years, but have had 3 so far so first one was May 2021. Things change all the time in treatment, they may have decided it's better to have an initial boost at the 3 month mark before moving to 6 months.

Thank you for your replies. I was surprised as my hospital seems to be doing things slightly differently. I have queried with them and am just waiting for them to get back to me.

I am on every 6month for three year last one no 7 in Dec .

I have my first Zoledronic acid infusion next week, a year after finishing chemo. I've been told I'll have them 6-monthly for 3 years, so a total of 6. Other than the chemo, it's the only treatment that the oncologist told me I will feel rubbish for a few days to a week after, rather than that I might but not everybody does. Side effects are my super-power so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. 

Have you had a dexa scan or been told that your bone density is down? Or have you got pre-osteoporosis or osteoporosis? If so, that may be why they've popped in an extra treatment. There are guidelines, but our treatments are all tailored to us as individuals, also the research is changing all the time.
