Morning! Am triple negative. Have had z5 months chemo, the op and radiotherapy and now they have put me on capecitrabine. Anyone else taken this?  Second cycle and it has hit harder than the first. Up all last night with burning hands and feet. Today so tired can hardly lift one foot ahead of the other.  Is anyone else on capecitrabine. Would love to hear from you.

  • Hi Fonone

Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you were diagnosed with breast cancer.  I was on capecitrabine for 6 months after I had my surgery last year.  I didn't have any problems with it luckily.  You should contact your chemo unit and tell them about the burning hands and feet so that they can  advice you on a cream to use to help with the burning hands and feet.  Also tell them how tired you are feeling and they may reduce your dose of the tablet to help with the tiredness.

Wishing you the best of luck with the rest of your treatment.

    Best wishes

  • Thanks Daisy!  Good to hear you had an ok time with it.  Am using udderlyfor my pedal extremities. It does help a bit.  I am on 5000mgs - 5 pills in the morning and 5 in the evening. Seems quite high. Do you remember what you were on?  Thanks again. Fiona

  • You're welcome I was on a slightly lower dose than you.  I was on 4 pills in the morning and 4 in the evening.
