Hi, I’m quite new here and am 6 days out from mastectomy and 2 nodes removed. Still very painful but my question is , is it normal to feel ‘ bubbling along the incisions’. Keeps happening every now and then like liquid running through .
I would mention this to Breast Nurse have you got a drain ?
I had a drain in for 5 days which sadly got blocked. I then had a seroma which was fluid trying to fill the empty space. I had to have this drained under ultrasound several times each time feeling fluid returning. It eventually stopped and settled . I would ask some questions . Best of luck x Exercise helps too you may have been given gentle ones to do x
I didn't experience this but I was told if there was anything worrying me that I could ring the ward for advice or help. I did do this ( can't remember exactly what for) but I got to go straight up and was reassured by the senior nurse. Why not give them a ring they are post operative specialists and it would settle you. Xx
