I have started on Letrozole 2 weeks now.
I have terrible nausea ulcers and inflammation in mouth.
I suffered badly during chemo with mouth problems.
4 weeks post chemo.
Does letrozole cause mouth problems and which is the best antisickness med Domperidone or Cyclizine.
Just feeling unwell on tabs.
Any advice will help. Thank you.
Hi Luppie, So sorry you feel so poorly taking letrozole. Need to call Dr as these side effects are pretty severe and he can advise you. Probably a drug change.
I take anastrazole and have been on it for about 4 months. Very dry mouth at night, lips are stuck together too. Dry eyes. But overall ok and am doing good as was worried as I had been on hrt for years so went from having estrogen to now running on low. Skin is drier too but these are minor compared to what you are experiencing.
Hope you feel better.

Thank you for reply.
I too was on Hrt but this was stopped straight away on my diagnosis.
I suffer from an autoimmune condition called Lupus so have had lots of terrible side effects throughout chemo.
I was hoping all those had passed.
Will get in touch with breast nurse to update her.
My want me to try the tabs for a little longer.
Start radiotherapy on Thursday .
Hope you do well during radiation as don’t want a flare up of lupus. Chemo must have been miserable for you and I am so glad that is all done. I didn’t need chemo but had lumpectomies on both breasts and then radiation followed by anastrazole.
Get my first mammogram since everything done this week snd then see my breast surgeon next week. Got the nerves going on.
Take it easy and we need to be gentle and kind to ourselves.
I love ginger tea for nausea but it would irritate your mouth. Maybe a nice salt water rinse would help mouth sores.

I hope all goes well for you with mammogram.
It's always a nervous time.
Got things for my mouth but don't really help.
I'm really sorry you've been having those problems. I have migraine treatment which causes constipation but since starting letrozole I seem to be having diarrhoea. I hope you find some respite - I am going into my fifth week of letrozole. On Tuesday, I am going for a planning CT scan for my radiotherapy.
Hi. Like you, I have Lupus, so this is one of my concerns starting this drug. Chemo knocked me about in the last 3 courses and it sounds like a replay of all those terrible symptoms in chemotherapy, which I don't want to experience again.
Still struggling with my skin now after taking Docoxatel.
Chemo side effects were brutal and I am hoping all that was in the past now.
I do have a lot of drug allergies just hoping these side effects from Letrozole settle down.
I couldn't go through all that with my mouth again.
Thanks - I went for the pre-plan scan on Tuesday. The scan itself didn't take too long but I had to wait longer because they were running late. I've not felt good the last two days but I don't know whether it's the Letrozole or because of the disruption from the scan.
