I have been on Tamoxifen since Jan this year and am on holiday and lost my tablets yesterday. I will try and contact doctor and replace but just wondering if anyone knows how bad it would be to miss a full week if I can’t get any here. So annoyed with myself, first family holiday since diagnosis!!
Hi
i have come off Tamoxifen a few times, when I have had an operation, and when I needed some blood tests , my oncologist says you retain the drug in your body for quite some time , so although it doesn’t feel right , having short breaks is not usually a problem.
Hope you get some but if not don’t let it spoil your holiday.

Hi,
If you go to a local pharmacy (assuming you’re in the UK) they should be able to give you an emergency supply. This would work today as your Doctors are closed, and there will be a pharmacy open somewhere. If tomorrow they would probably ask you to contact your surgery for them to send prescription. Hope you get sorted and can enjoy your holiday.
