  • Hi Jenny,  sorry to hear about all you have been through.  Once having BC is plenty but again is another story. Do you know if your cancer from 2003 was estrogen positive?  That is sometimes what happens with the estrogen positive cancers.  They will resurface many years later.  I recently read they used to think it was a recurrence of the first cancer but 20% are new and not a recurrence.  I am hoping and praying that you will handle it all and feel better soon.  You deserve some sunshine.

    1. Hi, yes it was oestrogen posive both times.,hopefully the lump is just scar tissue, however it is getting bigger, thanks for the kind words x
  • Yes hope it is nothing to be concerned about.  My BC were both estrogen positive too.  DCIS in right and stage 1 invasive in left.  Lumpectomy and radiation done and now on anastrazole for 5 years.  I think you will be given RX for tamoxifen if premenopausal or an aromatase inhibitor if post menopausal .  My BC were diagnosed 8/2021 so going for mammogram this month.  A little nervous.

    1. Yes I take anastrozole which I took the the first time round as well..fingers x for both of us x
  • Yes for sure.  They don’t have much to offer estrogen positive except tamoxifen or AI’s but the issue is late recurrence.  That really sucks. Wish more research could be done as 70% of all BC are estrogen positive.  I was 100% Estrogen positive on both breast cancers.  This is a test I don’t want to score a perfect 100.  Oh well that is what we have so we will be strong, think positive and stay healthy.  Science may come up with something new in future.
