Prescribed dexa for 4 days following first chemo treatment, felt totally wired for 4 days, only just coming down.  Anyone have the same experience?  So tired but unable to sleep, although on the plus side I got loads of jobs done!  Docs are going to give less next time!

  • HI had the same problem I could not believe how you could be so exhausted and not be able to sleepRolling eyesAlso made my skin flush looked like I was sun burnt. Good luck with your journey it's not easy but all for the good Fingers crossedHearts️

  • Thanks for reply, good to know it's not just me!  Did they fix it for the 2nd session of chemo?

  • Yes - happens to me each time. I have so far tried halving the dose (didn’t make much difference),plus stopping it early.

  • Same- I have to take zopiclone tk be able to sleep for a few days each round. X

  • I was prescribed this, but they had to half the dose as it was really affecting my head. I was seeing things that weren't there, and my head was just absolutely racing with strange thoughts and images. Also felt really low, which isn't like me. Agitated, jittery... Was awful. I felt better with the half dose though, so it improved. I'm not sure if your body starts to get used to it with more exposure to it though, but I wasn't willing to go through what I did!
