Hi I have just started on my 2nd cycle of Docetaxel and my taste has still not reappeared which is so annoying , nothing tastes good everything is bland , will this come back , I have one more cycle to go after this , will I be waiting until I'm finished with this drug.....I can't wait to eat all my favourite foods and actually taste them ....I will never take my taste for granted again .....Thanks X

Yup I feel your pain, it was awful for me too, had 4 docetaxel but! Your taste does come back, with the odd food aversion here and there. I enjoyed citrus tastes more on chemo and fruit lollies too. Some flavours of yogurt. You just pick your way through. Keep your eye on the finish line, all the best x

I also have a white coating on my tongue which i was told was oral thrush and this maybe affecting my taste ...I think the steroid and anti sickness drugs obviously don't help either X

Call the breast care team as they can treat the oral thrush and that’ll help xx
