Hi all
I couldn't have chemo last week as I was feeling so rough. I feel like such a failure and am fed up that chemo will now go on a week longer. I've had 3 x EC and 7 x Paclitaxel.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Regards
Carolyn x
This is not uncommon and you are definitely not a failure !
Ive had my chemo delayed twice because of low bloods and feeling awful . I’m just about to start paclitaxol on weds ( pending bloods !) , its amazing you’ve done 7 after EC too !
Give yourself a break lovely , none of this is easy , you’re doing so well !

Hi
I understand how you feel. I had 6 chemo first 3 FEC I tolerated. Docetaxel was fine until day 5 had terrible side effects so many and acute called an ambulance one night with severe chest pain. As a result oncologist said no more so last two went back to FEC.
We are all different and react differently but I did worry I hadn't had the mix I was meant to. I have been reassured difference is minimal. I know some folk can't tolerate it at all so figured the fact I still had 6/6 was ok.
You will get there stay strong x I had surgery in Nov., Chemo started Dec till April and radiotherapy May to beginning of June. If I can do it anyone can never thought I could but I did ️
Hi Carolyn,
Sorry to meet you here . I had 3 x EC and 9 x Paclitaxel and I found the Paclitaxel so much worse. My Oncologist said I was swimming against the tide! But I definitely had a lot more side effects with Paclitaxel than the EC. We are all different.
Wishing you all the best for your future treatment. Let us know how you get on.
Lots of love
Belinda
Thank you everyone. It's good to know I'm not the only one. I'd tolerated Paclitaxel better than EC with very few side effects up until last week.
I'm enjoying my week off, feel like I'm on holiday. Not looking forward to being knocked off my perch again on Friday though.
Oh well onward and upward folks. Keep on keeping on!!

I start Weds , I’m sure I’ll be coming here to ask your advice !
Enjoy next few days
