Had my appointment with the radiotherapy team and because all my results come back good from the operation I don't need the treatment , which is one less worry

Had my 5th round of chemo yesterday 1 more to go , I'm on countdown for this one can't wait for it to come round !

After my first docetaxel (4th round of chemo) I had severe side effects ,(none with the first 3 of EC just tiredness)so was delayed next round but only for 2 days thankfully  I went to see the oncologist to talk through the symptoms  and they put it down to the new chemo ,so reduced dose of chemo and gave me more steroids, painkillers for the bone pains, creams for the  feet  and a mouthwash so hopefully these will help.

  • Nearly there! It's such an amazing feeling x

  • Well done. I got to ring that bell on Monday after 8 months of treatments, surgery, chemo and radiotherapy. Been a long haul brutal at times and emotional to watch my family go through it with me.I have done all I can now and have meds for a good few years but hope I am now cancer free. Everything crossed.Tired and sore but still here to carry on with life for which I feel very thankful. Love to all on this journey fight on x

  • Thanks Jacala

It is an amazing feeling , I have made a lot of new friends on this journey and it's great  we are going to have monthly meet ups to carry on helping each other through so another positive outcome hopefully

  • Hi Janemb

Well done for ringing that bell ,

I can relate to the ups and downs ,I had to give myself some good kick up the bums along the way to get where I'am now and I'm  very thankful I was given the chance to get through.

The.Chemo was my worst fear but I'm nearly done.then onto hormone tablets for 5-10 years and bone injections every 6 months for 3 years but hey if all helps we all  can fight on X
