Hi everyone
I never thought I would be disappointed to not have chemo today.
Carboplatin which I had last Wednesday, has wiped out my platelets - down to 24!!!
can I ask who else has had this happen to them, how long was your next chemo delayed, and did you have to have a transfusion?

Sorry to hear that you didn't have your chemo today due to a low platelet count. It happened to me midway through my chemo though unlike you my chemo wasn't delayed as by the time I had my next treatment my platelet count had gone back up within a couple of days so I didn't need a transfusion.
Hopefully your next chemo won't be delayed too long.

Hi Daisy53, thank you for your reply. I had another blood test 3 days later and it had only gone up 2 to 26
Oncologist rang and said we will do blood test this Thursday morning (should be my chemo day), and see if it can go ahead.
Fingers crossed it will.
