I was diagnosed in May last year, have had four ops resulting in recent mastectomy, chemo and start radiotherapy end of June. I was wondering if I should be having a mamagram, I'm sure oncologist told me these would need to be yearly possibly whilst I continue taking tamoxifen. TIA xx

  • I was diagnosed last June, and having mine next week, but I've finished all my treatment in March. It could be because you haven't yet finished your treatment. Good luck x

  • Yes you should, I am still having treatment but it’s a year since my diagnosis so my mammogram was a couple of weeks ago, they only did my healthy breast as I had a mastectomy and recon and they said it was too soon after the recon. I’d call the BC team and they can request it in for you (or they can in bucks) I previously had DCIS and had yearly mammograms also x

  • Thanks, the oncologist told me this month's back but No one else has ever mentioned it. I wouldn't of thought the radiotherapy would of impacted anything so I will give them a call to see. Thanks xxx

  • Yes sometimes things seem to get disjointed, especially if they’ve had new staff on the team x
