I’m due my 3rd EC later this week and since about two weeks after my first round, I’ve had horrible pain through the affected breast. I mentioned it to my oncologist before my last round and he didn’t seem overly worried but ordered an ultrasound anyway. It didn’t show anything new, tumour hadn’t grown and no new lumps to be worried about. It did show 4-5 small cysts. I’m due to speak to the oncologist again tomorrow so will mention it again then but I just wondered whether anyone else had had very achy tender breasts when going through chemo? Trying not to let my mind run away with itself and keep reminding myself that the scan two weeks ago didn’t show anything new but it’s so hard!
Hi sorry you are having pain. All I can say is each time I had treatment it seemed to swell and make my mastectomy area painful and tight was quite uncomfortable. The nurse said maybe the steroids causing it. Don't know if that's helpful hope it goes away soon x
