I had my first zolodex injection on Friday and started tamoxifen on Saturday. By 4pm on Sunday I had cramps and started bleeding (period not due for 2 weeks). Has anyone else experienced this and know how long it may last or whether I need to contact BCN? I've read that bleeding can occur after a longer period of time on Tamoxifen but not sure if it's abnormal when just starting?

How much bleeding?

Yes, do contact BCN, she may reassure you this is normal or tell you to come in for a check up, but if you are losing large quantities of blood you need medical attention now.

Thanks for your reply. I would equate it to a light period (I'm normally very heavy), enough to wear a pad as constant. I've left a message for my BCN, these things always happen on a Bank Holiday!

Indeed they do. Someone else mentioned it, I'm afraid I responded with a long rant about how we need someone available to us out of working hours.
