Hi everyone,
I start endocrine treatment next week (so far had mastectomy and radiotherapy) and I was just wondering what to expect in terms of what it feels like - basically does it hurt!?
Thanks
I have the zoladex implant every 4 weeks and after the first one, they gave me Emla cream to use about an hour or 2 before the implant is put in and it just numbs the skin. I only got this as I was in the middle of chemo and I didn't want to develop a needle phobia. It just stung a little but it's fine. It goes in your tummy.
The zoledronic acid doesn't hurt going in - I get an infusion every 6 months. Some people get a bit of joint & muscle pain for a few days but I've had no side effects to speak of.
