Hi, I was due to start 10 days of radiotherapy next Tuesday but this morning I received a call from Dr in Radiotherapy saying it has been deferred for a week as she wants me to have an urgent ultrasound. I don't know why I need this ultrasound. I was all geared up to start radiotherapy next week and now have to wait a further week. Should I be worried about this ultrasound I'm due to have. Has anyone had this happen to them before starting radiotherapy? Should I be concerned about this? Many thanks.
I assume you have had a planning CT scan? Maybe there's something they can't measure properly from it and need the US to get their calculations correct? It might be worth posting this on the radiotherapy thread as there are members on there who know a lot more about RT and would have an idea
