Hi, any of you ladies had successful reconstruction with pectus excavated/funnel chest? Didn’t really notice now pronounced mine was or the associated rib flair, until one breast had gone via mastectomy. Would welcome your experiences. Thanks.
I have no personal experience with this issue, but I believe that a good plastic surgeon would be able to work around it. However, if they are planning surgery for the pectus excavatum, I would have that done first, and only then go for the reconstruction. If in doubt, best to consult a thoracic surgeon, which I imagine the plastic surgeon would do anyway from their end before they proceed.
