Start of chemo

Hi Brunette 23, I am starting chemo tomorrow as well. Went for my bloods today. So far I feel OK, not too nervous yet.

just to say I had my first EC yesterday- the cannula was the worst part and you won’t need that with the picc line.  The cold cap felt horrible for ten mins and then I felt nothing to the point where I’m worried it can’t have worked. 

felt a little spaced out during the infusion but was fine to drive home and then went for a walk.

felt extremely tired and a bit nauseous in the evening but wasn’t sick and went to bed early. About to do the schoo run as normal.

Thanks. It’s hit me a bit today- the tiredness but did two school runs and a walk. Maybe a bit much. Going to ask my partner to take time off around the next one. Medication is keeping on top of the sickness at least. That was my main fear xx

Me too - take it easy and rest up. I’m amazed you managed so much today. I guess it’ll take some time to get used to your pattern. 

I think it’s the steroids- not looking forward to them running out xx
