The MRI has shown another lump in the other breast. I already have a 12mm lump in the left breast. They said by looking at the mri it seems benign. I can’t help but worry it’s more cancer though :( They thought the original lump was benign and then a second biopsy showed cancer!! I’m so worried. Going in for an ultrasound on wed to investigate further

  • Hi Joje123

I’m sorry to hear that they found a second lump during your MRI. Hopefully it will turn out to be benign.

    Best of luck on Wednesday.

  • Thanks Daisy53, Fingers crossed !

  • Listen , if it’s not benign roll with the punches . I had cancer tumours in both breasts , diagnosed out of the blue in August . It’s tough and I get your worry but honestly you will get through it . One person said , well at least we won’t see you back for a while you’ve got it over and done with , kind of get it .

Hold on in there . We’ve got you

  • Thanks Penelope. Sorry to hear that it was found in both. Could they tell from the mri or how was the other one discovered? Did you just require lumpectomy and radiation? Hope you’re doing well now xxx

  • We are all here to support you .  This investigation stage is truly the worst . Once you have all the facts good, bad or ugly your team will deal with it and get you on a treatment plan .  You got this xxx

  • Hi My first lump was discovered and confirmed by CT scan .At the same time  They saw the second tumour in the other breast and said it was benign but after a week, following the biospy report it turned out that one was cancerous to .

Originally I had a shoulder scan to see why I had such pain in my neck and shoulder . From this scan unusual behaviour in my lymph nodes was picked up in my right side .

I was advised to see a breast specialist who couldn’t see or feel anything wrong . A mammogram picked up a lump in one breast , carefully hidden . It was the  CT scans and biospy which really confirmed the tumours .
If I hadn’t of seen a shoulder surgeon god knows what would of happened to me .

As my surgeon Mr Desai said “ someone was looking out for you up there .”

  • Hi Penelope. That was really lucky you went to get your shoulder investigated. Yes I truly believe someone was watching over you! I’m so glad you got it sorted. Are you on tamoxifen now? Did you just get radiation ? Xx

  • I had double dose of RT for 15 sessions and finished mid December .

I was quite a long time on the bed in order to align each breast but everyone was lovely and quite frankly I don’t know any difference . I didn’t have any major soreness after RT which was a big relief seeing I was having both done.

I also had lumpectomy on both . My right breast was very well behaved , my left breast got infection and cording . Quite frankly I don’t think having both breasts operated on made much difference at that point.

I am now on Tamoxifen which is ok although I am experiencing body  aches . Have started Glucosamine so I’m hoping this will help . I also feel bloody exhausted still but I think this is all quite normal for a lot of us .

The thing is JoJe this is all a bloody great learning curve . Christ , don’t panic ? of course we all do! But here is a good place to find a friendly word, information and sometimes a verbal cuddle !!!!

  • Sounds like a bit of a journey you’ve been on. That’s a shame you you got infection and cording?  Is that when you can’t move your arm properly. That’s what I’m dreading too. And the tamoxifen, I’m hearing so many bad things about it :( I have heard exhaustion and sore joints are 2 of the common symptoms. So sorry you feel like this. Yes glad I’ve found people like you to talk to. Turns out my appointment tomorrow has been put off until Friday as the machine is broken. I’m so annoyed. More waiting and more worry.
