Hi I start Phesgo only when I finish my TCHP in May.
Do you still have to take anti nausea meds & steroids afterwards and the Filgrastim injections?
My first Phesgo only is on 1st June and I (without thinking) booked a meal out the next day for my husband’s birthday, is that ok? As on TCHP chemo I stayed in for the first 2 weeks….?!
Any advice welcome?
Thanks
Hi Amelie, I don’t seem to have any real side effects from the phesgo injection personally, maybe some diahorrea occasionally but I’ve had 3 injections now (was having it IV before) and it’s been ok, I certainly would have been able to go out for dinner afterwards. Word of warning it does still affect your immune system so you should take as many precautions as you’re comfortable with x
Hi Amelie
I had TCHP chemo which finished end of December and still having phesgo every 3 weeks until September. Have had no real problems apart from watery eyes and an occasional looseness (not as bad as diahorrea). Has not stopped me doing anything.
I still have to see my oncologist every 3 months after having bloods done and heart scan every 4 months. X
That’s great to hear thank you, just wanted to get back to more normality!!
