Well an update after having my 1st chemo on Wednesday.it’s been hard , thought I was ok but after my 1st filgrastim injection , made my body so sore. Plus I feel all Iv done is slept. On Mother’s Day ended up in hospital due to severe constipation and bleeding. I feel this is so hard. I’m trying. Miss my old life and this is such a nightmare for me. Trying to stay positive but it’s so hard. My tumour is 7cm in my breast and feel will this chemo shrink it .
Hi. Sorry chemo/injections affected you so much. I feel we can only trust what is offered to us, believe they're doing their best for us too. Hopefully you'll start to feel better soon. I get my 2nd FECT next Tuesday, plus the injections at home. Been lucky with very few side effects so far and no sign of hair loss yet. All the best. Jo x
Hi, sorry your first chemo was hard - just take one day at a time - you will get through it - I know it won't feel like it at the moment! Half way through my chemo I had a MRI scan - & it had shrunk !!
I have just finished my chemo treatment number 8 - it wasn't always easy - but looked forward to my good week & made plans to meet various friends!
I am due to have surgery next month then radiotherapy!
All the best for your next chemo !

What kind off surgery are you having, my minds wondering all over? As my tumor is big 7cm andI will it shrink and I won’t it out . I’m having chemo then surgery . Suppose my surgery depends on what size my tumor will be. Just got told if chemo shrinks it and then lumpectomy but not sure. Things can change. How are you feeling after all your chemo? Just feel it takes it out you. All the best to you x
Hi Andrea
Unfortunately I have to have a mastectomy - I have opt for immediate recon - but not sure atm !
The chemo will shrink your tumour - mine had shrunk !!
What chemo are you on & how many treatments are you having ?
I am good atm - still getting over some of the side effects but otherwise feeling fine !!
Hope all goes well with your next chemo!!
