Had surgery

I think I found that the pain where the lymph nodes had been taken felt worse than the breast pain.  It was also the side where I had a drain (I had a mastectomy and a lumpectomy).  I was taking paracetamol and ibuprofen - alternating the two so each was the requisite number of hours apart, but I was taking the other one in between doses (if that makes sense).  It does wear off but is not pleasant.

Fabulous that you got your results back so quickly and such good news for you. The lymph node pain is certainly very different to the breaatt pain. I managed with paracetamol, struggled to sleep on my back and get comfy. Post op bra really helped. Exercises need doing regularly, which does get easier. We can do this. I'm now 11 days post 1st chemo cycle and doing pretty well. Having 6 x FECT, radiotherapy, Herceptin injections for 1 yr plus Anastrazole tablets as was Stage 2, invasive, ductal and Oestrogen Receptive plus HER2 positive. All to try and prevent recurrence in the future. Good luck Jo. Dreading the impending hair loss.
