Sorry to hear you have been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer.  Good luck with your surgery on 14th March!  

If you have any questions, then do post them on the forum as there will be plenty of women who are / have been through the same as you.  If you can put as much information in your post (or on your profile) then you'll get some really good support in relation to your treatment. (eg. whether you are having a mastectomy/ lumpectomy & whether you know if it has spread to your lymph nodes etc.  There is a chemo. thread on this group which will be worth having a read of, as I expect you will be having chemo.  Likewise, a radiotherapy thread if you are expecting to have this.

Do stay with this group as it is by far the busiest, but there is also a triple negative breast cancer group which you may wish to also join. Here's the link.

Hello Lainy , sorry you find yourself here.  I too have triple negative breast cancer grade 3 , stage 3 .  Are you having a mastectomy or lumpectomy .    I had chemo first then surgery and am about to start 12 weeks of weekly chemo .  We are all here to help one another . It is a bit of a rollercoaster I have had my fair share of big dips . Xxx

Hi Harleybear, surgeon wasn’t too helpful he said I could have mastectomy or lumpectomy , I am having surgery first then they were on about radio then chemo, but it went over my head to be honest.

That’s understandable it’s a lot to take in .   Do you have an allocated breast care nurse as it may be worth giving her a ring to discuss a bit further .  Xxx

Harleybear, yes I have a nurse rang her today but she wasn’t very helpful, she might have been busy as she said she would post things out

That’s a shame .  They are supposed to be there for you .   Maybe try again tomorrow and if still not helpful ask to speak to someone else .   In these early stages the waiting is awful and it is the time you need the most support xxx
