1.  Did you get clear margins?

2.  What does the pathology report say? (and any questions you have about the pathology report)

3.  What is my treatment plan now?

Then, depending on the treatment plan:

4.  How long should this treamtmemt take overall?

5.  How often? (if chemo or radiotherapy)

6.  What are the risks?

7.  What side effects might I experience?

8.  How often will I be seen by the consultant while on treatment?

(I am nearly certain I am forgetting something, will post again if I remember.)

Cool, and I just remembered something else. If this is the first time you are seeing the oncologist (some people only see the surgeon at first, and only meet their oncologist after surgery), then:

1.  Where will my treatment take place?

2.  Who is my key worker? (normally the breast nurse, but best to verify)

3.  What is their phone number / email address?

4.  Are they there Monday to Friday? If not, what days are they available? Who do I contact if I need help outside of my key worker availability?

Also, in case your appointment is actually with the surgeon rather than with the oncologist:

1.  When do I see the oncologist?

2.  Who should I contact to arrange this appointment? or: By when should I hear back about my oncology appointment?
