Today I had the results from my mastectomy, I have grade 3 HER 2 and ER Positive cancer. I had a very large lump in my breast along side a few other small ones, and also it was in my lymph nodes.
The results showed that the cancer has been taken away and was successful, but 7 nodes out of 14 were infected. They have said rather than more chemo it may be radio because the chemo didnt really do amazing on the tumours and didnt work that well.
They have said that its 50/50 if it has gone else where and basically I wont know until that happens and to stay positive. How the hell can I stay positive when I will never know until I get symptoms?
I am so scared, has anyone else had lymph node involvement with aggressive grade 3 breast cancer and has been cured? I feel so numb even though it was kind of the best result possible?
Hi I had 3 chemos and then 3 with herceptin in but I can't remember the name but it didn't really do a great job x
Hi, I had a huge grade 2 er+ her2- 12cm cm cancer with 7/14 lymph nodes. Mastectomy first in Oct now 4/6 chemo down, then radio and tamoxifen. It is so scary but I try and focus on positive stories and know a lady who had 6 positive lymph breast cancer 12 years ago and is now fit and healthy x
Hi I would speak to your consultant, i am sure perjeta is for her2 positive and kadcycla is a chemotherapy available for residual cancer left. Did your tumours shrink at all. Did you 3 x ec and 3 x docetaxol with your herceptin xx
Big hugs. Are they not sending you for a CT? When I asked my bcn what happens if more nodes are positive (we knew about 1) she said that (in our trust) anything over 4 and they would arrange a CT scan. Could you perhaps follow up with your bcn about if a CT is possible
They have said that it's not the common thing to have one and if it's gone else where there's nothing they can do anyway so not really the best response
Yeah that's it I had 3 EC and then 3 with the her 2 it hadn't grown or got worse just hadn't worked as well as it should of which scares me thinking could it have spread over these months of it not really working. The fear is just horrendous
Hi, sending big hugs, I am sure you would be offered a ct scan, I would really press for that scan. Also ask about perjeta and kadcycla. Are you er positive her2 positive. Do you your er and pr best wishes xx
I think maybe you need to ask to speak to them about ct scan and bone scan. I had both arranged before we even knew exact size and lymph node involvement. Thankfully mine were clear but I know a woman who lived spine mets for well over 10 years, so there is always something that they.can do. It sounds like you have had a horrible consultation. Phone BC nurse for advice and tell her you know others that have had ct scans etc xx
