Anyone else got same results? Grade 2 Ductal. Clear margins and clear lymph nodes.

  • Hi . I can’t help you myself as my results are different but I noticed you’ve not had any replies as the site is quite busy. My response will bump you back up and hopefully someone with the right experience will be along soon.

Hi, I also received those same results in early December. What followed was a consultation with  oncologist and chemotherapy was discussed, as even though lymph nodes are clear which is fantastic news, the treatment plan is targeted therapy because of the HER2 + and gives the best possible results. After a lot of consideration I decided to have chemo and my treatment started last Thursday Paclitaxal  weekly for 12 weeks, Trastuzumab every 3 weeks for a year, followed by 5 years of hormone tablets.
Sorry, I should also mention I will have Radiotherapy after chemo finishes.
So far so good, no real side effects to report apart from lack of sleep for a few days following treatment. Hope this helps, this is my first time posting on the site, feel free to ask about concerns Xx

  • That's great thanks so much x

  • Did you have a PICC line or via IV? X

It’s by IV drip, and takes about 1.5 hours.

The Trastuzumab is injected into your thigh (stings just a little bit) but no discomfort in my leg afterwards. The first appointment was the longest as the injection was first and then you are monitored for approx 4 hours before you start on the chemo.

  • Great, I was stressing at the thought if a PICC line. Feel relieved now thank you
