Docetaxel

Hi I only had one cycle of docetaxol because I had a skin toxicity. But I did experience joint/muscle pain from day 3 to day 6. It did then ease quite abit. I am now on weekly paclitaxel because of my skin toxicity on my hands, and finding this okay at the moment. Have you taken any paracetamol to help with the pain. Night time was the worse for me. If you take paracetamol take your temp before you do, which they usually advise. I would speak to your consultant or if pain gets to bad contact the 24hr line. Hope it eases soon for you xx

I found that the pain lasted for around 3-4 days.  Hope they ease up for you soon xx

As the others have said, a few days, it’s very uncomfortable, I took both paracetamol and ibuprofen so I could have pain relief every 2 hours. As others have said, check your temp before paracetamol, you will feel better again xx

 I know things affect everyone differently but this gives me an idea of what to expect, thank you x
