I got my diagnosed by phone followed by a letter. Can anyone tell me what the following means please?
No axillary lymphadenopathy
Intermediate grade DCIS, B5a
I know DCIS means ductile carcinoma in situ which I think means it hasn’t spread, but don’t know what the rest means.
Thanks
Hi
B5a means 'in-situ'
No axillary lymphadenopathy means no signs of lymph node swelling.
Intermediate grade is usually classified as Grade 2.
Obviously this is just what is known at the moment. Be prepared that diagnosis can change as further tests, ops are performed and analysed.
Hope this helps x
