Hi everyone I was asked to join the Optima trial on the 17th November and was patiently waiting for the results last week as I was booked in for chemotherapy today 10/12/21, but on Monday of this week heard the news that I won’t be having chemo as my tissue sample was tested and chemo will be if no benefit to me. So it’s radiotherapy, letrozole for 10 yrs, zometa for 3 and also zoladex for 3 as haven’t gone through menopause and I’m now 55.
I’m feeling relieved that I won’t be having chemotherapy and a little bit apprehensive I suppose because up until Monday I’d psyched myself to having it.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and hoping the 2022 is a lot kinder to all of us.
Diane xx
Congratulations! Fingers crossed that the Letrozole goes well too! X
