Sorry you've this added stress.  Cancer nit always fast growing so no need to panic.  They are in your case, you won't get forgotten.  Speak to your team tomorrow to see when they planning on getting you in.  

Have you been told your treatment includes chemo.  I on,y had surgery and radiotherapy in 2015.  I was diagnosed with high grade DCIS x

My cancer op was also cancelled, in my case due to finding cancer in my other breast. I was supposed to go in 10th August but eventually had surgery on 19th September. The cancer in the other breast wasn’t treated until 12th November. So forget nationally imposed targets. The fact is that the vast majority of breast cancer isn’t that fast growing, in fact my left sided tumour turned out to be considerably smaller than expected and my right sided tumour was exactly the same size 6 weeks later. 

They’ll probably want you to be better from Covid before operating, as it makes anaesthetic more difficult if you’ve got breathing problems, but they won’t take chances with your cancer. And your husbands not wrong. This will be sorted. Good luck.
