Picc line- what to expect

I had a picc line put in 3 weeks ago. It’s not painful but a little uncomfortable.  

Thanks thats reassuring, I've had biopsies that wasnt too bad it's just the unknown I cant speak when I'm nervous either!

I had one fitted and was given a local anaesthetic at the insertion point.  It has been brilliant and I have had no trouble with it.  It is so much easier for chemotherapy and also giving blood.  I was unsure but it has proved to be fine. Now and again there might be a twinge but I haven't had any pain or real discomfort. It is inspected weekly and has made my life so much easier.  Good luck with it.  Take care.  Hope your treatments go well.

Do you have a session the day they put it in or not? Haven't had any information on what happens yet so it's just making me really anxious waiting.

I honestly didn’t feel a thing, just watched the screen and not my arm as I’m a bit squeamish

I believe I'm having it done before the 1st session nurse just mentioned hospital will be in touch regarding picc line 

Once it’s done it’s a blessing , no more cannulas
