Hi I am 5 weeks into my tamoxifen and goserelin treatments and also 10 days into 15 of radiation. I have developed a pain in my stomach, quite localised but not constant when I cough or sit slouchy. It is about level with my navel but to the left side. My first goserelin was injected on this side but the second was on the right a week ago now. I cannot see anything in side effects to explain what this might be, any thoughts, should I be concerned. If so who should I be speaking to about it. I also have achey back and shoulder muscles. Thanks.
Hi there, I have not experienced this personally, but you might want to speak to your radiographer, just on the basis that you will see them tomorrow I guess. Do you have a Breast Cancer Nurse, or a cancer helpline at your hospital that you can call? Hope it eases soon
Hi, I agree with Irishgirl16, see if you can speak to someone about it. Just wanted to add that I also haven't had any issues with the injection and as it is an implant that slowly dissolves and then you need another 4 weeks later, I wouldn't have thought it should be giving you any issues.
The BCN are always happy to help but if you can't get hold of them, I have also either phoned my oncologist or GP. My GP is able to speak to my oncologist far quicker than me so that is sometimes a good route in.
I have found that people tend to deal with any issue very promptly when you are going through cancer treatment, so hopefully you can talk to someone today.
