Hello Exraygirl.
I'm back. reminder about my story. failed lumpectomy of Dcis 2010, 4.5cm removed during mastectomy extending to anterior and posterior margins. 10 nodes removed and clear. Said they'd do radiotherapy, then decided not to do. Here I am 11 yrs later, with recurrence, on anastrozole since 4th oct, 7mm removed, c in node, 15 removed in Total this time. Total axillary clearance 1st sept
Last time we conversed I had a ? Seroma and I took your advice and rang x-ray as br care nurse couldn't do anything for me as oncologist hadn't replied to her email and I needed to be seen as in agony and as radiotherapy plan unsuccessful on 4th oct I was Stuck in limbo.
Dr Aspirated the seroma and then again it was aspirated under ultrasound but only 20 mls and 10 mls removed last wed, v relieved to have someone see me and knowing I had haematomas at last..
Back at radiotherapy dept Friday 22nd Oct and had my planning scan again, this time managed my deep breath hold, I will cope with the pain of the haematomas, shown them on ultrasound pic, they hope over time they will reabsorb, painful and breast and lower abdomen all mottled pink n purple, moisturiser applied regularly.
My heart is v close to c node that was removed so they're making a heart protector for me.
At least 3 weeks later in hopefully now having my radiotherapy plan made out and Will get word about my start date soon. 3 weeks x5 days.
Thanks again for all your kindness Exraygirl.
I'm really appreciative.
Since communicating with you in Her2 Neg and will not be having chemotherapy...I have been told if there's another recurrence I cannot have chemotherapy or radiotherapy but some kind of drugs...let's hope it's not 3rd time Unlucky....
Katrina.
Thanks to everyone that read, replied or supported me, I was at a low ebb, confused with so much info and haematoma discomfort and hold up, grateful for the kindness of strangers.xxx
