Hi, had my first Taxol on Wednesday with fusion od zoledronic acid.  First night fine but last night I got no sleep due to the pain in my legs. Took paracetamol as advised by chemo unit but it's not touched the pain. It's now 12:30am and so so tired but again can't sleep because of the pain. Any advice. Got telephone consultation with my oncologist next week and I will tell him.

Need some sleep Sleeping

I’m concerned about this post because you can get a deep vein thrombosis as a result of chemo - happened to my mother in law. If you’re still in pain you should ring your GP. Hood you’re ok

Hi, thanks for your reply. Got sleep last night and the pain has eased greatly. I have a telephone consultation with my oncologist next week so I shall mention this. No hotness on my legs and no red patches. My partner has had three DVT's so he knows the signs. He on warfarin for life now. Onwards and upwards Smiley

Hello I had similar with pacitaxol . Shooting pains in legs that kept me awake. I phoned the help line and got gabapentin prescribed just for about a week and get it after each chemo now. It really helped - it’s a myalgia nerve pain .
